Cherishing the Past
The Holland family have been directly involved in the piano business in Ireland since the early 1800’s. John Holland (being the sixth generation of piano technicians that stretches back to his great great great grandfather Johnston George Holland) is the co-founder of Pianos Plus, which was set up in 1990 with his partner Henry Gillanders. This places Pianos Plus in the unique position of providing the longest continuous service in this country.
Appreciating the Present
Pianos Plus involvement in the piano business stretches back over six generations. The company was established in its present form in 1990 and has grown in a few short years to be the market leader in Ireland. The biggest development in Pianos Plus’s history was the opening of our purpose built piano showrooms on the M-50 (beside the Red Cow Roundabout) with over 10,000 sq ft. It is probably the finest independent piano showrooms in Europe. All the business that was carried out in our original Rathgar premises was moved to M-50 location.

The development of the new facility demonstrates the confidence Pianos Plus have in the future of the Irish piano market. All our new pianos come with a full 10-year written guarantee. Approximately 3 months after delivery, when the piano has settled down in its new home, all new pianos are serviced and tuned free of charge. Our technicians are highly trained and motivated full time employees, committed to the philosophy and success of Pianos Plus. This ensures that our customers always come first.
